Sweating the details
Apple has just released a software update for my iMac G5. What does this update do? It makes the light on the front not quite as bright when it pulses in sleep mode.

Is that based on clock time, or did I miss a light sensor somehow? :-)

Not only does it make it not as bright – it only makes it less bright AT NIGHT.
I installed the update this morning, and it causes all of the fans to turn on while it’s installing. I’ve never heard every single fan on at the same time before. It was something to behold.
