Batshit insane PatRobertson
I can’t imagine any other way to put it, quite honestly. Pat Robertson, one of the chief lunatics of the wacko-right, and the furthest thing from a “good Christian” since Judas himself has this to say:
“If he thinks we’re trying to assassinate him, I think we really ought to go ahead and do it,” said Robertson Monday. “It’s a whole lot cheaper than starting a war.”
Now, in the English language that I speak, this little turn of phrase, says that the word “it” in the first and second sentence refer to the little clause “trying to assassinate him.” Robertson, apparently has some totally different grammatical world he lives in:
“I didn’t say ‘assassination.’ I said our special forces should ‘take him out.’ And ‘take him out’ can be a number of things, including kidnapping; there are a number of ways to take out a dictator from power besides killing him. I was misinterpreted by the AP [Associated Press], but that happens all the time,” Robertson said on “The 700 Club.”
No, I don’t think so. These are the kind of supposedly religious people who want to institute their own American Taliban and dismantle any separation of church and state. Disagree? Bullet to your head.
That’s their “Christian love.”
