Guy Kawasaki on starting a company
I’ve always recommended Guy’s book, Rules for Revolutionaries, as it expresses the passion necessary to really make a difference. And if you’re not interested in making a difference, why exactly are you doing it? Greed alone never makes a company truly successful, only passion can bring that. Now comes a video on Google Video from a presentation he gave on the art of the start.
Don’t be afraid of polarizing people. [..] If you try to create a product that appeals to everybody, [...] if you try to create this perfect product, you will create mediocrity.
Go watch it. Guy is one of the best presenters in the world, and brings a lot of humor to what could be a boring topic. Opinions matter.
