Conflating rights and wants
Apple and EMI announce DRM-free music distribution, but Ryan Block wonders why he didn’t get a pony with it. Seriously. Get a grip. Like so many people in the world, taking absurd positions to either side often means nobody cares what you think. There’s a few choice and interesting observations laced with FUD and the general absurdity of “I want it my way, and I don’t want to pay more than what I want to pay” consumer ethos. When did that ever happen in the world? Ever. Get a grip.
It’s progress. It’s not perfect, but then, progress never is.
