The taste curve
Something I’ve noticed over my life is that while generally “taste” goes up with money, especially the cost of something, there’s a certain precipitous point where it collapses into Donald Trump and Paris Hilton territory:

ABSOLUTELY hilarious!
Another point is that as we move further along the x axis, it is inevitable that we’ll begin to see the spelling of the adjective “n-e-w”.

At the same time, the sample size drops as money increases (probably following Zipf’s Law), and therefore the conclusion of average taste can be drawn with less and less confidence as money increases.
