Perusing Engadget, I found the prototypical example of what’s wrong with the industrial design of boom boxes:
Seriously, WTF? That thing looks like a cross between a military weapon, a robot and something very ugly.

Ugly but not bad stuff for 262 bucks. Can be concealed quite well underneath the right furniture. I know of a few spots in the compound.
