Fisker Karma
I’ve been following the Fisker Karma ever since I heard that Henrik Fisker was planning to do a hybrid super-sedan. Mr. Fisker is the man behind the legendary BMW Z8 as well as both the Aston Martin DB9 and the V8 Vantage. Now, the final shape comes out:
To me, it’s simply beautiful. It has classic European proportions—mostly Italian—and if reports are to be believed, will have 408 horsepower and 959 ft-lbs of torque. That’s just an insane amount. They quote 0-60 of 5.8 seconds, which while fast, isn’t blinding, but I’d be curious what the 0-30 looks like, as well as the 50-70. As a hybrid electric, it has maximum torque at stall.
Tempting to put down the deposit, even if I’m not sure I can afford the final car. Of course, I have until mid-2010 (the next available delivery slot) to actually figure that out if I do.
