Sneak peek

Just a sneak peek at what I’ve got to post when I get a moment. First, a lamb and barley stew:

And also, some toying with flavored liquors that I’ve been working on. In this case, a chai tea vodka:

There’s also a ginger-vanilla rum and a vodka flavored with both Sichuan peppercorns, and some Sarawak peppercorns.

the stew looks delicious. i’m not sure about the chai vodka, though. how’d that work out?

Well, better and worse than I expected. It definitely needs some sugar to offset the slight bitterness that you get with the tea leaves. I also worry I left it too long steeping. Modifications coming :)

Actually, through space and time, it turned out quite well! Amazing what sitting can do to a concoction.
