Delta’s a gogo

Unfortunately, I had to book a last-minute flight to Austin to deal with some family stuff, and ended up booking on Delta. Since I have a pretty high status level with Northwest, I figured I might manage to get an upgrade to first. No such luck, but it seems I’m on an MD-88 that recently had Internet access added. Delta calls it “gogo”, and so far it works great. In fact, it’s faster than most hotels I’ve been in during the past few years. I had actually assumed it was satellite-based, but the latency is low enough that I’m not sure now, unless there’s a ton of cache hiding it.
